Tied with the White House for the #30 spot is the Elm Court mansion located in Lenox, Massachusetts. This former Vanderbilt mansion stands at the intersection of Stockbridge and Lenox, MA, at the Western edge of the state, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This Tudor Revival is over a hundred years old, as it was built in 1885. Previously owned by descendants of the Vanderbilt family, a property group acquired this 55,000-square foot mansion sitting on 44 acres in 2012. Since then, it’s undergone massive renovations and went back on the market in 2020.
