Planning a Trip to Disneyland?  How to Save Money and Find Deep Disney Discounts

Everyone knows that a trip to Disneyland isn’t exactly cheap, but the most savvy shoppers know that there are definitely deals to be found, even at a place like Disney.

If you’d like to land discount Disney tickets, Disneyland passes, Disneyland coupons and more, read on for some of the best Disneyland deals we were able to find.

When is the Best Time of the Year to Go to Disneyland?

Much like many other vacation destinations, prices can fluctuate widely depending on when you book your trip.  The best time to visit Disneyland if you’re trying to save money is between September and November, and February through May.

You’ll want to aim for Tuesdays or Wednesdays, while avoiding going to Disney on a Sunday.  That’s when they’re the most crowded, and you’ll be able to fit in less activities and rides as a result.

Parking at Disney Can Be Expensive

If you want to save money at Disney, keep in mind that parking is about $15 a day.  If you want to be really frugal, consider carpooling, or parking at Downtown Disney, which is free for three hours.  That means you’ll have to come back and move your car every three hours, but hey, you’ll be able to save a little money, and if you’re visiting for more than one day, parking costs can add up in no time.

Saving Money on Food at Disney

If you frequent theme parks, you already know the best way to save money on food – by eating a big breakfast before you even step one foot inside.

Thankfully, Disney does allow you to bring your own food also, as long as it isn’t inside of a glass container, so you’re welcome to bring as much trail mix and other snacks as you please to help you make it through the day.

You’ll also want to make sure that you bring your own water bottles – you can fill these up throughout the day at various water fountains for free, or you can even ask for free water from any service counter.

Disney Resort Tickets are the Way to Go

Instead of buying your tickets to Disney as part of a package, the key is to buy them separately instead.  It might be really convenient to buy them as part of a package, but you’ll most likely end up spending a great deal more in return for that convenience.

Bring These Items with You to Disney

Be sure to bring these essentials with you when you visit Disney:  baby wipes, suntan lotion, ponchos, extra film for your camera and any other little necessities that you think might come in handy throughout your day.

Those items will be far cheaper to purchase outside of the park, than inside.  If you’re worried about being able to store the items, you can always rent a locker.

You should also bring your child’s stroller along instead of renting one from the park, since your child will probably more comfortable in the stroller they’re already familiar with, anyway.
